SūDā CREC Madison Group Unveils Visionary Community-Centric Proposal for Vero Beach’s Big Blue Site
SūDā CREC Madison Group, a collaboration of SūDā Inc., CREC Capital and Madison Marquette, leaders in innovative urban development, is thrilled to announce its visionary proposal for the redevelopment of the Big Blue site as part of the Vero Beach Three Corners Project. This well-funded and meticulously planned project aims to transform the nonfunctional power plant into a vibrant, world-class community hub that promises to enrich the lives of local residents and attract visitors from near and far. The SūDā CREC Madison Group collaboration brings to bear a local Vero and Florida presence, longstanding working relationships together, exceptional development experience in large mixed-use waterfront projects like Three Corners, vibrant place-making and community-based programming, and commitment to environmental sustainability and preservation of the Indian River Lagoon.
Community-Centric Development
SūDā CREC Madison Group’s proposal is designed with the community at its heart. The project promises to create jobs, boost local businesses, and attract tourism, thereby driving economic growth. The thoughtfully planned development ensures that the site is not overbuilt but rather a beautiful, welcoming and sustainable gathering place for all of Vero Beach.
Big Blue Re-Imagined
Big Blue, an iconic Vero landmark, takes center stage as an elegant feature of the SūDā CREC Madison Group development. The group’s plans for Big Blue features an arching portal that creates a direct visual and pedestrian connection to the waterfront through the building. The north side of Blue encompasses an elegant lifestyle boutique hotel, state-of-the-art meeting facilities and an elevated amenity deck with river and ocean views. The south side of the repurposed Big Blue will offer multifunctional venues for live music, cultural/arts events, festivals, an amazing marketplace, and rooftop lounge with spectacular views of the public parks below, the marina and panoramic Lagoon and Ocean vistas. This integration of the old and new will create a unique venue that respects the site’s heritage while embracing Vero’s future.
An Authentic Food Destination
In collaboration with the award-winning, Madison Marquette-owned Oxbow Public Market in Napa Valley, SūDā CREC Madison Group plans to create a public market and gourmet food bazaar. The Market will capture the unique character, spirit and content of a localized public market and as a place to display and sell organic and/or sustainably produced local crops, splendid Indian River citrus fruits and other high quality food products unique to the region. The Market will be a culinary landmark and destination for Vero Beach and its visitors and feature a diverse mixture of local food vendors, artisan cafes, farm-to-table dining experiences and an organic produce outlet for local farms. An overarching mission of the Market is to improve the local food culture through education, community outreach and support of local businesses and farms.
Market Row Retail and More
The SūDā CREC Madison Group proposal includes Market Row, a collection of authentic and original retail spaces that will support local artisanal businesses and offer unique shopping experiences. Additionally, a versatile Meeting Hall will be readily available to host community events and gatherings, fostering a sense of community connection and local engagement.
Marina and Tropical Garden
SūDā CREC Madison Group envisions two lushly landscaped tropical gardens and open spaces designed for public gathering, year-round community events and walks waterfront strolls around the entire project. The adjacent marina will enhance the waterfront experience, offering recreational water activity opportunities and connecting the community to the water. The cove area will provide for day docking for boaters to tie up and come ashore to enjoy all the amenities and activities Three Corners will offer.
Commitment to Sustainability
SūDā Inc. in partnership with CREC Capital, and Madison Marquette, is committed to sustainable development practices. The proposal emphasizes eco-friendly building materials, energy-efficient designs, and green spaces to minimize the environmental impact. The project aims to set a new standard for sustainable urban redevelopment, aligning with global sustainability goals and ensuring a greener future for Vero Beach. Their team is working with Ft. Lauderdale FL based Envirocare, to assure the waterfront and marina development leave as limited environmental footprint as possible and maintains our goal of actually improving the health of the Indian River basin through mitigation and other measures to enhance the long term sustainability of the maritime condition.
“SūDā is committed to enhancing Vero Beach by delivering a beautiful, balanced, community-oriented project, of which all of Vero will be proud, now and in future years. ” said Gaurav Butani, Principal of SūDā, “Our proposal is designed to enrich the community with culinary, cultural, and communal spaces while respecting the area’s character and needs.
